The Los Angeles Series began in 2016, when artist Ashley Noelle wanted to create with her view camera and needed subjects that only required her to show up. Noelle turned to the city she loves and ended up discovering more about Los Angeles than she ever imagined. There are now over 2,000 locations in the series. Noelle credits her friend Julius Shulman and builder Mohamed Hadid with forming her view and understanding of the structures and layered history that make up the unique and ever changing
